If you are missing all of your teeth, an implant-supported full bridge or full denture can replace them. Dental implants provide several advantages over other teeth replacement options. In addition to looking and functioning like natural teeth, implant-supported dentures are designed to be long lasting. These are more comfortable and stable than conventional dentures, allowing you to retain a more natural biting and chewing capacity. With conventional dentures, the bone that previously surrounded the tooth roots begins to resorb (deteriorate). Dental implants integrate with your jawbone, helping to keep the bone healthy and intact. In the long term, implants can be more esthetic and easier to maintain than conventional dentures.

We provide a variety of options for full mouth implant supported dentures. These are:

Two implants are placed in the front part of your jaw. each implant in the jawbone holds a metal attachment that fits into another attachment on the denture. The attachments are known as locators. In most cases, the attachments on the implants are ball-shaped ("male" attachments), and they fit into sockets ("female" attachments) on the denture.
As the name suggests, this is a full mouth rehabilitation given over 4 implants in the jaw bone. It is usually a minimally invasive procedure. Here two straight implants are placed in the anterior part of your jaw and the remaining two implants are placed usually in a 45 degree angle in the posterior part of your jaw. Later if indicated, fixed full-arch prosthesis on the day of surgery is fabricated.
This quickly leads to improved patient satisfaction – with regards to function, esthetics, sense, speech and self-esteem. After a period of 3 months, we fabricate a final prosthesis for our patients. A total of 10- 12 teeth can be given in the prosthesis, thus helping in function of chewing food as well as giving a favorable esthetics to our esteemed patients.
All on 6 implant supported denture is an alternative procedure for the all on 4 dentures. Herein, after thorough evaluation of the patients, we place 6 implants each in the upper and lower jaw. 2 implants are placed in the anterior part of the jaw, two implants in the premolar teeth region and two implants in the posterior part of the jaw.
If there is no bone in the jaws especially in the posterior part of upper jaw, we place an artificial bone graft followed by placement of implant in that region. With the help of this all on 6 technique, we can give our patients 12-14 teeth in each jaw thus replicating almost full component of our natural dentition.

When is this important?

In case of tooth loss or in order to improve or maintain facial aesthetics, implants are the main solutions. Implantology techniques allow patients to enjoy all the comforts of natural teeth and restore the chewing ability. Implantology is advantageous since it helps in maintaining the integrity of neighbouring teeth, which is not so in the case of dental bridges. However, a through initial analysis needs to be done to determine the suitability. In cases of cancer, uncontrolled diabetes, gum diseases etc, the use of implants will need to be accessed.
